Te Whare Tapa Wha !!

WALA Te Whare Tapa Wha.
This term we're learning about Hauora and  Te Whare Tapa Wha.
Te Whare Tapa Wha in English is " The Four Sided House".
It has four walls and on all four sides have a meaning each.
Wall one - Taha Tinana wish means Physical Health.
Wall Two - Taha Wairua which means Spiritual Health.
Wall Three - Taha Hinengaro which means Mental Health and last but not least on Wall 4 there is Taha Whanau which means Relationship Health.
Anyway there's a little bit about what we're learning.
One thing I love about learning Hauora is that it is based on my culture and also because it is easy to relate. But something I don't enjoy is that we're working slow and I'm just really excited to be learning about this and I usually love to learn everything all at once.
Please leave a comment on my blog.

Kia ora.

  1. You show a really good understanding of what each 'side' to the whare means, Frances. I really enjoyed reading your reflection and I appreciate your honestly about working slow! I agree! Don't worry though - when we are in our group routines, you will have a learning programme suited to your pace. Thanks Frances, and I appreciate all of your contributions to our class! <3
